E3 - Official Nintendo Press Conference Thread

I'm hoping for Game Boy, Game Boy Color & Advance games on the Wii & DSi. I am also hoping NES, SNES & N64 and other virtual console games will be cross platform on the DSi & Wii. So you don't have to buy like Super Metroid on the Wii and DS.

Man if they offer cross compatibility with virtual console games. That would kick so much ass.

As well as offer some classic or hard to find DS games on the DSi shop as well and include enhanced WIFI security....WPA2 would be nice instead of WEP.

How about online multiplayer with voice chat on the virtual console games? Okay that may be asking to much....Would be nice.

That's what I want outta the DSi Shop feature though. I would like to get all the Metroid games and be able to play them on the DSi or Wii. Well expect Prime Hunters which is a DS game and wouldn't work on the Wii.

But man to be able to play some virtual console stuff on the Wii on a big tv, then bring em with me on the go on the DSi, would be killer!


Other things I want from Nintendo.........WII SPEAK SUPPORT!!!! Can't they somehow offer it with other games too? Please I need to chat while playing multiplayer online!

Updated Wii Browser....We all want it....

The 360s Face Book and Twitter idea would work nice on the Wii.....Add MySpace too!

MORE, MORE, MORE QUALITY TITLES FROM NINTENDO as well as THIRD PARTY!

MORE WIIWARE! MORE DSIWARE!

How about some more WII channels as well as DSI channels? Skype? Maybe?

Video & voice chat on the DSi? That would kick ass. Online Pico chat....

I hope Nintendo kicks ass this E3. Enough with the accessories. Don't be like Sega.... Let's see some software for these accessories!

Microsoft did pretty good. I hope Sony does well too. They all need good competition with each other. Keeps things fun and exciting.


What do you want from Nintendo? What do you want on the DS and WII?
 
Oooooo....I know what would be really nice. Player's Choice Wii & DS games! Drop some hot selling titles to $20! Cheaper GameCube to Wii re-releases (New Play Control) would be nice too. Anyone agree?
 
I'd love to see more 2(.5)D Metroid or Castlevania--or even a full fledged "next gen" Castlevania that isn't a fighting game.

What would really be cool is to see something completely new from Nintendo that appeals to core gamers rather than yet another title from their ancient franchises or more Wii Fit, Wii Music, Wii Cooking, etc.
 
Nintendo conference to start in about 10 minutes. Gamespot gave me the best live video feed yesterday.

Or maybe it's preemptive since there were some swears (and gore) in trailers from the other conferences yesterday, and I definitely was not prompted to enter my age before viewing any of them.

Yeah, that could be it too. I guess we'll just have to see.
 
Interestingly, the Nintendo conference will only run 1 hour compared to MS's 1 hour and 35 minutes (actually ran 10 minutes over I think) and Sony's planned 2 hour conference.

Don't know if that bodes well or not.
 
Cammie Dunaway is up and looks like she is talking to the ceiling. Opening up with the sales and marketing stuff.

Is Sony's really a full 2 hours? Unfortunately I'm going to miss it so I'll have a lot of information to digest this evening.

Mario coming in 4D

Super Mario Brothers for Wii. About to be demoed.

4-player drop-in/drop-out co-op with Mario, Luigi and two different colored Toads.

Yes, 4D doesn't typically mean multiplayer...

It will sell like gangbusters though.
