The xeon e3 1265l v2 cpu does anyone knows if he is soldered as the previous generation or it has tim??
so which one will run cooler
e3 1260l
e3 1265l v2
since the choise of the tim was not a good choice from intel side
i question does intel made the same choice also in the xeon branch?!?!

Since you aint gonna overclock I dont get your question.

I would obviously get the IB (v2) without the fluxless solder. Because it uses less power overall, got PCie 3.0, faster memory support, +100Mhz baseclock, +200Mhz turbo, 4000 series iGPU.

And TIM is what both the fluxless solder and paste is called.

and load was not ivy getting highter temp or i missunderstand some articles i read here and there i think also over here there were some topics where people delip their ivy replaced the tim and got 10c drop in temp
or in stock speed the ivy runs at the same temp as the sandy
given the same heatsink?

Tjmax is 105C or IB, 100C for SB. So it doesnt matter if the CPU is 20C or 95C for example. (Besides inside your head maybe, read illusion.)

People that complain about this usually overclock in the 4.5Ghz+ area with extra volts.

At stock speeds IB is around the same temperature as SB with the same heatsink.

IB is around 5% faster than SB clock for clock.

IB overall uses less power than SB. For highend desktop SKUs we talk 20% less. Meaning while the CPU might be a tad hotter, they produce alot less heat.

Xeons cant overclock, so its not even close to being an issue nomatter what.
