E3-1231v3 + ASRock H97 PRO4 compatible?

hello

I'm going to purchase Xeon E3 1231v3 and ASRock H97 PRO4, are they compatible? as far as I know, E3-1231v3 doesn't have iGPU then what would happen with the VGA port of ASRock H97 PRO4? would it affect anything?

The video connectors become non-functional; you will need a video card to complete the build.
