E2Give (E2G) spyware - I can't remove it

I am trying to clean up a friends teenage daughters computer (Win XP Home)
I have taken everything out of the registry that I can find. Obviously, I am missing the hidden piece that regenerates this spyware.
Can anyone point me to that pesky ah heck?

Will this prevent the Windows validation tool from installing? I can't do the windows updates either because it won't install the validation tool. This IS an authentic copy of Windows.

Any help is appreciated!

 
Download Hitman Pro and see if that helps.
Or you could try Autoruns and/or Process Explorer if you want to do the work manually.
 
Thanks for the links and information. I will try this removal tool. All of the malware programs I have tried only partially remove it and then it comes right back.
 
That's the annoying thing about spyware... if you don't get it all, there's a good chance it'll be back.

Once you get it cleaned up, make her start using Firefox. 😉
