E2C vs E3C - Who has tried both?

I am going to be buying one of these on blind faith it looks like. Can anyone tell me which I should get and why? Please!
 
Why are you dead set on shures? I've tried the E2's, and ended up buying the Altec Lansing iM716's. i'm very happy with them, but i don't think the E3C's would be worth the $$$. keep in mind, shures have an extremely flat frequency response. anything that you used to listen to that you thought had good bass will be neutered. i guess it depends on what you like...
 
I wasn't dead set on shures!!

I just bough the Altec Lansing im716's from Amazon for $69.99 shipped! Sounded like these are on par with the E4's, so hell, why not take a chance?
