E2180 temp?

My idle temp is:
Core0:28
Core1:30

Load:~36

Is this good on stock? Ambient temp is > 25 C.

Good enough on stock. Is C1E and EIST enabled? If not, you might want to turn them on. Idle temps will drop.

My E2180 @ 3.2ghz idles at 20-25C on both cores and never goes beyond 50C under full load. Using slight voltage increase and a Tuniq Tower on my rig.

I have GIGABYTE p35 ds3L. Where do I find these options?

btw, CPUZ shows my core speed @ 1200MHz sometime! Multi drops to 6. What's causing this?
It keeps switching between 6 and 10.

That is relevant to nerp's question.

You need to disable C1E and EIST in your BIOS, then the multiplier will remain at default.


Edit: Only disable these features if you *don't* want the multiplier to drop to 6 when the chip is idling. It drops to 6 because of Speedstep.

How is that irrelevant? I want to know where to find C1E and EIST in my mobo's BIOS. Last time I didn't see any C1E or EIST! I guess there is another name for them, that's all.

I think you'll find I said exactly the opposite.

There may well be another name for them, I guess the best place to start looking would be in your motherboard manual.
