My E2140s from Microcenter were M0 stepping. SLA93.

Ok, my fingers crossed for M0 stepping as well then. We'll see how well this little engine works.

Ok, A little update on my part. Today mobo/ram/e2140 came in. Checked, it was SLA93 which is M0, ordered from newegg $70 with coupon :).
Swapped that with my dfi s939mobo/opteron146@2.2/ddr1 mem. Ran sysprep, installed drivers etc. After a bit of testing, upped to e2140 to 2.67 ghz 333FSB/1:1 memory (stock fan/no arctic silver, I'm super cheap :D). Neo2FR p35 mobo (<$70 open box) 2x512 ddr800.
So far feels way faster in benches/games than my single core. I'm not going to push it higher until I find a reliable way of measuring temp, cuz I heard that speedfan/core temp underreports temp, right now idle at 35/26C* and everything works perfectly

Right now i'm running on x800xl. I will wait till 3850 (or 8800gt256, whichever first) drops below $150 and I'll grab that :)
I'll keep you guys updated :)

Quick Benchmark e2140

162.5 cs source
nuclear mc 8805
3dmark 05 not complete, I guess it got over 70 C with stock cooler, so system rebooted :D(@1.45 volts I'll try lowering). Well, i'm going to 3.0 since 3.2 requires 1.45.

Seems 3.0 (375x8) offers best performance without being overheated. Maybe Core2 duo's Like 375 FSB.
@3.0 1.330 volt (now down to stock volts, 1.312)
Superpi 20s
Nuclear mc 8465
3Dm06 cpu score 2550 Hottest core Load - 66c, 33 idle.

Anyone else had any issues with Corsair PSU and IP35? I am going to use the 520HX to power an IP35 and thinking of getting the E2180.

My E2160 is arriving sometime tomorrow, along with Thermalright ultra-120 Extreme and scythe 120mm fan plus some atctic silver 5 etc... my IP35-E + Crucial Balistix ddr2 800 + HIS HD 2600XT have already arrived yesterday. I simply can't wait to put my hands on that little chip and push it as far as it goes(slowly). That whole new setup i listed was less than $350, and I am a one happy camper. :)
Btw, I ordered e2160 from clubit.com and they guarantee an m0 stepping for about 80 shipped.

P.S. SerpentRoyal , I'm sooo gonna ask you to guide me through bios tweaks :D

Was on an x2 3800+ with some biostar board.

Bought an e2140 and abit ip35-e along with some N5 kingston ram($50 ram). Also picked up a $24 cooler from the egg.

Serpentroyal helped me get started by telling me the bios settings to run and what to watch out for(haven't OC'd anything since the t-bred b core days!).

I'm happily posting this while running 3.2ghz rock solid.

It took my 3dmark06 score from 8k to 11k just by throwing this cpu in and overclocking.

Just want to give credit where it's due. Thanks serpent:beer:!!

$60 cpu FTW.

Glad to help. It's easy to overclock with IP35-E if you have quality RAMs, CPU cooler, and an okay chip. The number one overclocking issue is junk RAMs.

Folks also should stay away from Raptor drives and Antec Trio/Corsair 520/Corsair 620. These may not work properly with some P35 boards.

I like the G-skill from egghead which is 49 for 2 gig 2x1. ddr2 6400... overclocks very well.

my 2160 is L2 stepping, just purchased another 2160 and its Mo stepping.. I will try it on the Ip35 abit board..
