E2140, 2160 and 2180?

You guys don't seem to consider straps at all, when OC'ing?

Is that a retail e2180? If so, yes, that is a good deal. Lowest on pricegrabber is $90. If it's OEM, then not such a good deal. I would pay extra to get a chip in a sealed box.

I urge everyone looking at the 2xxx series to go right for the e2180. To me, the e2140 is too much of a gamble. Have seen reports of some real dogs. I bought a e2160 and wished I went for the e2180 which was only like $7 more.

Yes, that's retail. It was originally $90, but I have a $5 off coupon (for my use only for an issue about an order...there's no code out there so don't any get excited...hehehe).
I've heard of similar deals on e4300's (& possibly 4400's?) and "pre-owned" e6300's. I realize there's a difference in the L2 cache, but i've also heard that if one gets a (nearly) 100% overclock on these, the difference in cache will be negligible. Is that true?
