E18 Error on my Canon A510 ... anyone had this before?

Has anyone gotten this error before? My lens is like stuck half open and it just won't move. And every time I turn on the camera it says E18 error on the LCD then turns off.

I also can't figure out exactly how to take this thing apart. I have the screws off but it isn't sliding apart and I don't want to break anything by forcing.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this or take it apart?
