E1705 GRAPHIC ISSUE !!!

My Laptop has been exposed to magnetic field and my picture is distorted.My 7900GS's RAM is giving errors when tested.Is there a way to fix this or am I looking at a replacement.

The thing is that my niece got an open subwoofer to close to the laptop and the picture is now distorted and has lines going through picture. So far I think it's not and LCD issue...........


 
If the RAM is giving errors, you probably need a new video card. The E1705 has a user-replaceable card, if the computer is out of warranty, you can get one from Dell Spare Parts. If it is under warranty, you could see about obtaining a replacement.
 
Thats the thing it just went out of warranty a month ago........Dell wants $362 for a replacement.I can get them on ebay between $150-$190. Damn I guess I have no choice.......thanks for the quick reply.
 
Man I finally have some luck....I was able to re-instate and extend my warranty hope it all works out
