E1505 slows to a crawl every few min or so

I think it might be due to overheating but my laptop is in an AC room and it's pretty cold in here.. what gives :( This has been happening for over a year now.

What do you usually do with your laptop? Furthermore, how much RAM do you have?

1GB. But this problem still occurs after a clean install of windows.

How about plugged in, but with teh battery removed?

I will have to try this later.

Edit: Tried it. Seems to be working so far. Now I gotta find out why.
