Anandtech itself, but moreover the users of the site, most likely produce a disproportionately large amount of e-waste (old computer parts, cables, disks, monitors, gadgets, phones, etc.).

How about taking a lead in the "green" department by adding a "e-waste recycling" tab to the home page, containing all sorts of information, listing recycling opportunities by major cities/states?

For example, I am sure Anand himself has a lot of stuff he recycles. Where does he do that in North Carolina?

Sort of like an e-waste recycling portal for geeks...

 This is a fantastic idea. I will contribute links for e-waste recycling in BC, where I live. I would encourage AT'ers to add to the page with links and info for the state/province/country where they live.

This sounds like it would be better run as a community supported thread in one of the forums here instead of on the homepage, but it's still a good idea!

While there are many sites/companies out there that do this, I have not found one site that logically sorts the information.

Heck the domain, www.givemeyourewaste.com is there for the taking. I can already see some ad revenue.

If anyone on here wants to act on this, let me know.
