Alright fellas, I'm coming to you live in safe mode now. I'm having some weird issue with the e-vga 6800 'nilla card.

What I did to cause this problem was go into Rivatuner 15.6 and undo the vertex and pipe unlocking, since I wanted to see if this would stabilize the crashes I was having in BF2(and recently in CS:S). So I hit everything to default and reset my computer, thinking things would just go slower but that's about it.

So it reboots, windows loading screen loads, and then I'm sitting at a black screen....black...black. I left it on for about a half hour just to make sure nothing was happening.

Went to safe mode, first uninstalled Rivatuner and reset=no go.
Safe boot again, uninstalled NVidia drivers(latest)=no go.
Safe boot again, did a system restore to before I did this=no go.

So now I'm running out of ideas, I don't know how to undo what I did or even why this would cause the problem. Please help!

I thought that would work too, but I still get a black screen when I do VGA mode.

Why is it that it won't do VGA mode yet I can sit here in safe mode?

I'm stumped. Try a reformat or get access to another card, maybe you fvcked up your card.

That's a possibility of damaging the card...since unlocking the shaders and pipe lines has its risks..

Did you use Driver Cleaner when uninstalling the drivers? That might save you the trouble of a reformat. You may want to also look into the 2nd method in my thread and try to do it in reverse (instead of picking the pipes / shader to unlock, you pick the ones to lock back up).
