I agree. I used to thoroughly enjoy it and still watch it occassionally as my wife still watches it. But it just hasn't been the same over the last few years. The characters became too central IMO and it became less about all the possible storylines patients could bring in with them and more about the storylines between the doctors/staff themselves (i.e., like a soap opera.) They've tried to get back to their roots now and put a little more focus back on patient storylines. But it just isn't working for me personally any more. Oh well.
