e-mail problem with Earthlink

I would like to be able to check my work e-mail from home while using my Earthlink account. It will let me receive messages but I can't send anything due to Earthlink blocking the SMTP ougoing server to e-mail other than Earthlink mail. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work around this?

Use smtpauth.earthlink.net as your outgoing SMTP server. All you will need is your username and password and you should be all set.
Check out EarthLink?s help link they have help on how to set it up for different email clients.
