Sorry for assuming that you were offended... Hopefully they'll "fix" it by adding an option so each can choose which way they prefer to receive notifications. :)

That would probably be best, if they can do it.

No fixing necessary. It is the way it use to be many, many moons ago and it makes following threads a lot easier for some of us (especially when I am out of the office and getting updates on my Treo - no need to try to get to the thread in order to see all of the posts. It has always been next to impossible to read AT on my Treo).

If one does not want updates, then one should not subscribe.

AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN

I've found I'm back to following some threads much easier now. I absolutely love getting an email per reply.

(That said, I think asking this be a profile setting be reasonable. However, I'd hate to see this revert to one email per thread update since this was a temp fix (AFAIK) put in place a bit back, originally updates did work like this)

I've switched mine over to receiving PMs instead of emails for subscribed threads, so my work email doesn't get flooded with AT emails. Receiving a PM for each post in a subscribed thread makes even less sense, since it's just a generic message and does not contain the post. It is definitely less annoying to have 100 PMs than 100 emails, but it still does not make much sense.
