I've been receiving e-mails from colleges lately about admissions based on scores from my PLAN ACT test, but I'm not sure if these are genuine. The PLAN ACT did ask for e-mail and I did put it down but when I got my scores back I thought I didn't do all that well. Should I ignore these e-mails or read them further?

EDIT: I'm still a sophomore. T_T

if you're interested in seeing what they have to say, read 'em. if you're not, don't.

colleges buy lists.. by score ranges and geographic areas.. they're recruiting. trying to catch your eye. they're not offering anything if you're a sophomore (they can't) so you won't lose out on anything by not reading them.. but then again, you have nothing to lose by reading them, if you don't have any idea where you want to go to college, then you might be interested in seeing what they have to say. probably not :p but.. maybe.

I got the same thing (but I was a junior at the time). What's odd is that all of the admissions e-mails look exactly the same as one another and say basically the same thing. I sometimes wondered if they all came from the same place and the names of the universities and writers were changed.
