When trying to change my e-mail address to the one I use more frequently it tells me its been banned from AnandTech. However, I have only been a member for about a week and never had even been to this site before that. So why would it be banned? I'm very confused and annoyed...:Q

Can someone help me fix this problem please? Thanks.

The email service that you are trying to switch to has been banned in general - nothing personal. If you prefer to receive email on an account which cannot be registered with AnandTech, you can put an email link in your signature. Such as exorr@yahoo.com, or something similar.

exorr,

Anandtech has banned public email servers because they allow people to hide behind them. If someone joins as a@hotmail.com and gets subsequently banned. It is almost impossible to prevent them from creating a new email address b@hotmail.com and rejoining. The mods want to hold people responsible for their actions.
