E-Machines m6805 Laptop issue, please help

I just bought the m6805 no farther back than April of this year... Its a great laptop, love it to death 🙂 I baby it, and hold it with both hands and put a blanket over it, you get the rest... Anyway over the last week its starting to have some issues with the LCD. When I open the lid, the lcd kinda flickers with the brightness, so it goes from being really bright to semi dark back to bright so on and so forth. And now its doing it sometimes whenever it just feels like it, but it lasts for maybe only a minute. What is the problem? Im beginning to believe its the lcd itself and that I should have it replaced, but I dont wish to do that since BB seems to have this, "when you use the warrenty once you cant use it again" kinda issue. So what do I do?

What am I overlooking?????

Mine was doing the same thing a month or 2 ago. I found just opening and closing the lcd a few times or just readjusting the position would make it stop flickering. It may have been a loose contact somewhere.

But it appears to have resolved itself. I haven't noticed it flickering in quite some time.

looks like a weak connection with the backlight inverter or the backlight inverter itself is on its way out.

I had that issue as well as a cracked hinge. Best Buy took care of it under the extended warranty. You should be able to RMA it to eMachines as well.
