I was given a stick of 32MB PC66 ram from an e-machine for helping a friend out. My plan was to put in a system I am selling which is also a 400mhz celeron like his. The system only showed 32mb even though I had added this ram to it which SHOULD have made it 64mb, I took out my ram and tried to boot up using only the e-machine ram but no go, it just kept beeping like crazy.

I made sure it was seated properly & tried it in different slots. Still did not work. Any ideas why not?
