I e-filed with the feds last Sunday. My refund is pending deposit today. I think 5 business days for the feds is an amazing turn-around time.

It is, but this is the way it has always been for me.

No, e-file is a fucked up scam.

Choices:
1) Pay for software I don't need so I can e-file.
2) Pay a tax preparer I don't need so I can e-file.
3) Hand my confidential info over to a website I know nothing about so I can e-file.

E-file saves the government money; that's why the IRS promotes it. Yet, instead of allowing me to e-file via an IRS website or a free IRS-provided program, year after year the IRS continues with this third party bullshit.

I found it convienent, too. But, I didn't like having to pay 20 bucks to e-file my state return. That was annoying.

Why would I pay $12 for a service when the whole point is that the state saves money on processing? You're being scammed and your state likes it that way.

Nope, don't qualify, it's a scam.
