I was winning this e-b@y auction and as the auction was almost at the end the seller cancelled it, giving some BS reason. Now, my guess is that he cancelled because the price of the item (4 tickets to yankees-red sox game) was bellow what he hoped to get for it. Now, the question is, does something like this allow me to add negative feedback to the seller in question? Or this kinda activity considered normal on e-b@y?

u can't leave neg feedback unless the auction is actually over. i mean... u don't even have an option to do so. and yes, i think he ended the auction becuz it didn't go as high as he wanted. what a scumbag.

Nope. Feedback's only for completed transactios. You can, however, send him a nasty note

Yup. Pretty common. People forget that lots of bidding happens in the last few minutes of auctions

feedback may only be left on closed auctions in which you are the winner

Thanks. What he did sounds pretty lame to me. I wish there was some sort of tracking of such transactions - so that in the future you could avoid people like that. And btw, it wasn't like I bid bellow the face price. The highest bid was 60% over the face price of the tickets.

i can see his point. whenever the yankees are in boston, the sox only let you buy 2 tix. 4 tix is a blessing
