Anyone seen this or know of a fix? The brush on the bottom of my wife's MUST HAVE $600 Dyson vacuum cleaner is now not spinning and I can not find a fix for it anywhere.

If anyone has any insight it would be appreciated.

Pleas note: My $60 Shop Vac is still working perfectly fine.

Thanks in advance.

Dyson has great tech support on their website

Lie the machine flat on the floor and turn over so that the base can be viewed.
Remove the three soleplate fasteners as shown.
Check the brush housing for blockages and ensure the brushbar is rotating freely by hand.
Carefully use a pair of scissors to cut away any hair and fibres from the brushbar ensuring you do not cut any off the bristles on the brushbar.
Inspect the internal hose for blockages and damage, and ensure that both ends of the hose are fitted securely.
Rebuild the machine and test.

Actually it seems sometimes just the magic of posting on ATOT can fix things
Seems it was the carpet/hard floor clutch that needed to manually kicked in the ass. All better now. I'll let my wife know she can get her ass back to cleaning now :)
