dynex speaker wire

i just wanted to know if there is any difference between getting 12 guage speaker wire at best buy(dynex) or using the monoprice wires? i know everyone is high on monoprice due to thier prices but the speaker wire is the same price. i can pick up a roll at best buy this week or get a roll at monoprice and wait a few days.

did you check home depot? they also carry speaker cables that you can cut to length.

i supposed i can try home depot. is the one at home depot betteR? i probably just need a 50ft roll. im just wiring a 5.1 system in my condo.

I don't know if it is better, but I picked up 12GA speaker cable at around 1.50 a metre. This was ten years back though. They still sell the same cable, I just don't know the price.

i prefer not to spend money at best buy, because of their general douchiness.
but yes wires wire.... whether radio shack/frys or homedepot lamp cord.
unless you get some heinously cheap stuff it should be fine. i have some radio shack and frys stuff, the plastics stayed clear and not yellowed on either.

i went to BB and bought a 100ft roll of 18 guage for $30 then went to home depot and got a 100ft 16 guage for 15. will be returning the bb roll.
