Dynamic Disks with Simple Partitions

Is there anyway to play about with the simple partitions on a dynamic disk, it seems that under W2k only Disk Management can do this and Partition Magic can't....meaning options are limited.

Sorry, my understanding of these Dynamic disks under w2k is not extensive....I used to have 4 partitions, I wanted to merge them into 1 using partition magic but could not. Now it shows up under disk management as 3 partitions but all with same name and drive letter, no effect in explorer etc but I was just trying to figure out what difference it made overall.
