Dynamic Disks in Windows XP Trouble

I don't know if anyone has ever done this before, but a couple of years ago, I converted two disks into dynamic disks and spanned one partition across the two of them. Since then, I reinstalled windows and now both disks are offline. I go into the disk management and it won't allow me to bring them back online. It times out after a few seconds. i tried booting into debug mode and bringing them back online from the prompt. It said it was able to bring the first one online then I rebooted and did the other, but neither of them stayed online. This is about 120GB of files I might be losing. Anyone have any ideas?
 
Everything I can find just tells you how to bring them back online, but doesn't give any troublshooting, like there shouldn't ever be an issue with this.
