Dynamic disks and multiple OS's

I didnt want to post this here but it seems that this can not be answered in the other forums such as OS..

If I have a laptop with XP Pro on it and 1 40gb drive.. If I convert the disk to dynamic and set up a second partition can I throw another OS on it. I know how to dual boot. And I know that I will have to fool around with somethings since I have Xp on first but I just need to know if having a dynamic disk with 2 volumes will allow 2 operating systems.
