I have attended my fair share of funerals and it allows bothers me how people seem to be generally not bothered by the persons passing. The spouse and close relatives might care, but everyone else is like "Oh well I just came for the free food". Then in a year or two they will have totally forgotten about it. This life is all we have and to totally forget someone so easily really irks me.

I think there is a mutual agreement among all living people that you can and should move on after death, unless of course it is your own.

Shit happens. I don't expect everybody's world to come crashing down when I croak.

It bothers me that in 100 years, over 6 billion people will have died. Where the hell do you bury 6 billion people?

I worry about it a lot. Its in our nature to be afraid of the unknown.

The possibility of there being NOTHING after we die is what frightens me the most :(

thus, "on top of the previous 6 billion" becomes the logical choice.

That fear prompted humanity to invent religion. We just pretend that there's something after death, and it makes us feel better.

Deep down, however, we're still scared.

The ultimate kegger bon fire!!!

I accepted my own death years ago. It makes things a lot easier going forward. The people I know and love, they're of the same mind. We're all (parents and fiance included) of the same mind... Enjoy it while you can. Celebrate the life you loved and spend the life insurance responsibly.

There's a difference between not caring at all, and moving on. Depending on the circumstances of the death, it could very well be a good thing.

Its just like you said, people dont care, and I dont see why they should... I dont even expect having a funeral when I die, I couldnt care less, Im dead anyway... I wouldnt want anyone to stop enjoying their lives because I died either, so

I've never been bothered much by it in the past until last year when my Grandpa on my Dad's side passed.

I was very close to him and it really "hurt" to see him laying there at the viewing.

I still miss him a lot and it's been nearly a year later.

I didn't even shed a tear when my other grandpa passed but we weren't as close.
