so my hd is starting to die (its making the tick-whirr sound),bought a new hd and i was wondering if it was possible to like carbon copy the old one to the new one so that i can transfer the OS and all my files to the new one? theres enough space on there (old is 120gb and new is 200gb)

Norton Ghost will clone your drive, and the copy will be fully functional. It's available separately, and it's also included in most versions of SystemWorks Pro.

I can clone my 80 GB drive in around seven minutes.

Go to the manufacturer's website of your new drive.
They have utilities that make it painless. (free downloads)
The software just checks to make sure you are using their brand then goes to work
