Ughh, its only noon and already I'm nodding off. Decided to go to Boston this weekend to meet up with a friend's friends who were celebrating after taking the MCAT. Went out Saturday night (Cactus Club, Rattlesnake, and some place called St. or Saint?) and didn't get back till 4am.

The original plan Sunday was to hang around till noon and then head back (6 hour drive to Rochester.) But then one of my friends decided he'd meet up with a friend in NH and hang out there till 5pm or so. So that left me and the driver with nothing to do. So then he called his friends up who were going to Mohegan Sun. For $10 we got a roundtrip bus ticket on some Chinatown bus, and that included buffet and two Pai-Gow/Sic-Bo bet coupons worth $10 each.

This was not a good plan. Within 2 hours I dropped $100 at blackjack and roulette. Then we needed to make the 7pm bus, so we couldn't use our buffet coupons (used them to buy cigars instead.) Didn't get back to Boston till 9, and by the time we got back to the car, ate, and found our friend we didn't leave until 10pm. Not doing that again.

I'm in the same boat today :(

Got bored after dinner yesterday, so I hung out with a friend of mine, similarly bored. Unfortunately, the conversation turned out to be rather interesting and I didn't make it home until 3. This morning I had to get up at 5:30 to catch the bus...

I can't wait til I get home....

Wow, you are a high roller :)
I hadn't planned on gambling though. I've been doing so much travelling lately that I just didn't feel it prudent to spend any more. I'm going to Miami this weekend = less $$ saved.

And I should clarify, that's $100 of my own money, not including winnings on the table. Considering these were $10 minimum at roulette and $15 minimum at blackjack, I could've lost the same amount in 15 minutes if not for the winnings.

Actually, I know how you feel about trying not to drain your own funds on gambling.

I went to Atlantic City with my my wife and her parents earlier this year. I limited us to about $40 a day to gamble with, and we did fairly well at keeping ourselves busy. The wife and I would run out of money for the day, then my father in law would come and give us a few hundred dollars in chips. We were to bet all of the chips on one spin of Roulette, spread however we went, and we could keep whatever we won. We lost everything every time! All total we lost about $200 of our own money spread over proably 20 hours of gamling. And we lost about $1K of my father in laws money, in about 12 minutes of roulette bets.
