Dying Asus V7700 (Geforce2) Ti 64MB Pure?

Hey Guyz...

I have an Asus V7700 (Geforce2) Ti 64MB Pure and lately, the fan has been rather unstable.
One day, my computer started rebooting out of the blue. I opened up my computer and noticed that the video card fan stopped spinning.

I pulled the vid card and put it into my friends computer and it starts spinning again. Starting rather slow and gradually gets faster and this is only on boot up. I put the card back into my computer and the fan spins again with the same speed conditions as it was in my friend's computer.

Another problem I occasionally noticed this past year is that my windows clock would sometimes be completely off after I don't turn on the computer for a day or two.

Anyone know what could be wrong? Is the video card fan dying? or perhaps the power source? Potential Motherboard problem?

If it's a dead video card fan, would it be better if I replace the fan (if I can find one) or just get a new video card? I don't do much gaming anymore and don't have money to spare so the cheapest alternative would be best.

My System: Asus P4T, P4 1.5GHz (S423), 4x128 Samsung Rambus 800MHz, Asus V7700 Ti Pure 64MB, SB Live!, NIC, WD 160GB 8MB 7200rpm, DVD drive, CDRW drive, Generic case w/ 300W PS

personally, i think that your fan is dying, but then again, geforce2 is so old (i have one myself, but now a geforce3) and you might as well get something new. since you said you dont do much gaming, i think a geforce 6200 AGP is good. i dont know which 6200 to get (ones have turbocache, several memory options) but im sure people here will help you on that.

and its most likely not a mobo, PSU problem. my antec 300W held up fine with a 2.4C @ 3.3Ghz, 120GB HD, 160HD, 2 CD drives, all this lighing/mod crap, geforce3, and all these external devices. one day it finally started rebooting on me. so im pretty sure the PSU isnt the problem. and the mobo, damn, i remember that one. its an asus, so im doubtful on that one too.

good luck!
