DX9.0 vs. 9.0B What's the difference?

If there is a difference, where can I get a virus free download of it. My brother updated to 9.0B off the microsoft site and he got a virus along with it. His Norton didn't catch it and he had to DL a removal tool to get rid of it. It was some W32 worm or something. Anyway, is it worth the upgrade and where can I get it? Thanks all.

I DL'd DX 9.0b from Microsoft yesterday and installed it on 2 machines. Both work fine but I did not notice any differences. Both of these machines had the latest security patchs installed before I DL'd the DX files.

I highly doubt he got that virus from Microsoft.com, he probably had it on his computer before then but didn't notice. I usually like to download the full file so i don't have to keep downloading it whenever i reinstall windows(I have dial-up).

Thanks Pete, I'll DL it there if you had luck with it. I was on the phone with my bro when he was downloading it and after he installed and rebooted his computer the virus was detected. It not only was detected but it was unable to fix it and had to be removed with the tool I had to get for him from the symantic site because he was locking up from it. Anyway, I can't say for sure if it happened at that time, but what a coincidence, huh? Thanks for the link, I appreciate the help.
