DX8a / Roger Wilco Problems

Anyone had this problem before? I upgraded DX7 to DX8a and this began happening. While playing Tribes Roger Wilco will stop giving me audio. It never happens right away but at some point I'll go several minutes whithout hearing anyone. I ask if anyone is talking on RW and my team will say they can hear me (in team chat). Another of my team members seems to be having some problems with RW as well since changing to DX8a(I think he said RW just refuses to run while Tribes is running). Is there anyway to go back to 7 short of reinstalling Windows?
