I lost around 15 fps in timedemo and it takes forever loading levels in Quake 3 now. I am using whatever the latest drivers are that are supported by ATI on their website. I am now experiencing even more noticeable jitters during gameplay. Anyone else? I am running Windows 98SE btw.

I'm using 3056 also. Hmmm most distressing. I might just format. I was having problems with quake 3 anyway where it was badly locking up and looping the sound before this. It has to be dx8 giving me these slower frame rates. I didnt do anything else to my system.

I haven't tried DX8 yet, but if i'm not mistaken ATI hasn't released the official DX8 drivers yet, so I wouldn't be too concerned about the loss of performance, just wait for the new drivers.

I just got my radeon and got it going then I decided to download dx8. Man, was that a mistake. It would not boot again. I reinstalled windows 98 got everything going again then tried reinstalling dx8 again. it will boot now but not with my ATI Tv wonder card
installed. I think I am going to have to reinstall win 98 and get back to dx7 for all to work correctly. The tv wonder drivers have always been kinda shakey. They don't even let you download the latest drivers for it, you have to email them then they send you a cd in the mail.
