DX12, onboard/discrete graphics and ram speed

Seeing as how dx12 will be able to use both onboard and discrete graphics to render, will the speed of your ram increase graphics performance?
And if so, will it increase it further on AMD apu's?

Brad Wardell mentions the feature working in Mantle. He didn't say if it was on and AMD APU or Intel CPU. I guess it would be a higher performance increase on an AMD iGPU since those have more power than Intel ones. Ashes will have the feature working, so I guess we have to wait till that comes out before we can actually test.

For me it would be good enough if DX12 could use my Intel's iGPU for things like physics and other compute intensive stuff. Let the videocard do the graphics rendering. That would already be a good improvement.
