Installed it and rebooted. If I am lucky Raven Shield will not crash anymore ...

"No, my hardware isn't compliant" :D

I've got R8500 and regret installing dx9. no point.
and from what I hear, cat 2.5 and dx8.1 is the way to go.

Wohoo. First time that I was able to complete the first mission of Raven Shield. Before it always gave me a critical error (tried to play it many many times over the past two days).

Thanks for the link!

Well, 3DMark2001 went down a little bit and Comanche4 benchmark went up by 1FPS (doesn't sound like a lot but for C4 that is a good increase). No crashes so far, I'll post again after I play some UT2K3 later.

installed it. windows seems a bit zippier. no change in 3dmark2k3. ut2k3 seemed a bit zippier and faster. average fps went up a little bit (5-10%) using the hardocp bench. the ati chimp demo seems smoother too on my 9700pro. now all i need are the 3.3 Cats.

9.0a is a good update

whaa? What's that supposed to mean? They even killed the files for download. Anyone heard of any incompatibility issues or problems users were having that would lead them to take it down? Just venturing a guess...

3dmark03 before and after installation on my Radeon 9500 Pro

Before Dx9.0a --> 3445

After Dx9.0a --> 3450 second test 3443 third test 3451

In another word I don't see a difference I was hoping maybe my flickering issue at 1028x768 32bit would cease but nope. Anyone help with problem? Btw it doesn't flicker during games.
