Dwood Mod Issues: 7950

I've been having a lot of difficulty with a dwood mod, it never seems to drop temps significantly (still 80+ on 925mhz@1.05v, ie ~stock). I tightened it up a bit, and suddenly, I don't get a GPU temp report. Just like when you don't have any monitors plugged into it. Only issue is, I do have a monitor, I tried a 5-second dummy plug to simulate it.

Only time I've seen something like this is when you don't have any monitors plugged in. But I can still overclock my card, it's mhz reading changes, unlike when you normally unplug monitors.

I can't imagine i 'crushed' a thermal sensor or something here, especially since the dwood bracket must have been so loose that it wasn't on tight enough.
