I am having a problem with a DWL-G520 wireless network card. everytime I try to install the 4.11 driver I downloaded from support.dlink.ca It Freezes the computer when the driver initalizes. its very obvious its the driver when it freezes.
I have tryed these steps to correct the problem so far I have been unsucessful.
-Reinstalling Windows 2000
-Latest Via 4 in 1 driver
-Via Latency Patch
-Shutting Off AGP fast writes
-Tried 3 diffrent PCI slots
-Made sure the card was not sharing a IRQ
-Tried Alternitive Atheros Drivers
My System:
MSI KT333 Motherboard (VIA chipset)
AMD Athlon 1800+ XP
256 DDR Ram
Nivida MX 400 VideoCard
D-Link DWL-G520 Wireless card
20 Gig Maxtor Hard Drive
OS: Windows 2000 SP4
I have read there is a possable conflict between the Via KT333 and the Atheros chipset which the DWL-G520 uses.
Any Suggestions would be welcome..
