He is about to drop a triple double on the Lakers.

End of the 3rd and he has 17 pts, 9 boards and 9 turnovers!

i dont get it

When a man says something that sounds homo'ish, you say pause. That's to insure nobody misunderstands what you said as something it wasn't.

You can also use pause in the middle of a sentence if it starts to sound homo in your head too.

Was playing Xbox years ago and a friend got a glass of juice I had made, and said "damn your juice tastes good!...Pause" if he hadn't said pause I would have had to question his sexuality from that day forward.

I have heard pause used almost everywhere, but this is the 1st sports incident of it I can recall, fucking epic.

Is this a new development? Is it a black thing? I grew up in the Bay Area and never heard of it.

Thanks for the explanation, I get it now.

"He's very long ... uh, pause, haha ... "

Black people use it, but I 1st heard it from a white person. I think it was a Caucasian mans version of "no homo" which I never liked, because to me saying no homo always seemed awkward and homo'ish.

It's not new, I was using it 8 years ago and I'm sure it was around at least a few years before I discovered it. As for the bay up there they have their own vernacular, it's almost like a totally new language when I talk to some of them lol.

epic example of pause, I don't think Spike even caught on, that's one hellova good interviewer how he worked it in there so smoothly.

I thought he said balls and not pause.

I had to listen a few times to hear "he's a long" "balls"

and I am like, "what? Long basketballs?"

I have never heard "pause" used in that way, and I am pretty immature in that regard. :)

Pause? Maybe Howard is the bisexual one since everyone who follows basketball knows what you mean when you say someone is "long".
