I have an Asus A8N-SLI deluxe mobo with an AMD Athlon 64 FX-57 processor and an EVGA 6800 Ultra video card (just one).
Should I, or should I not plug in the EZ-plug? I have a dedicated line going to the back of the vid card, but I'm wondering if I should still have the EZ plug connected.

Thanks,

Rich

I ad the exact same question for my new A8N-SLI Premium. From all the research I did (Google EZ-PLUG), it seems that it may really only necessary *IF* you use a dual SLI setup. However it doesn't hurt to plug it in, so I did. (got a little trickly with the cable mgmt tho')

Thanks for the reply, Al jr. :0)
What kind of vid card do you have, how many watts is your PS, and do you have a 24-pin or a 20-pin main power connector? Sorry for all the questions but I'm trying to equate your system to mine.

Thanks,

Rich

Agreed that it probably won't hurt to go ahead and use the EZ-Plug, and it may make it easier on you, (wiring -wise), later if and when you add a second card. On page 2-1 the manual states;

The red warning LED lights up when you installed two graphics cardbut did not connect the ASUS EZ Plug?.

So, if you don't see the LED near the first PCI-e slot light up, you don't need the EZ-Plug powered.
