DVR (TiVo) capabilities on computer

I'm looking to turn my new desktop into a DVR of some sort -- basically with all the bells and whistles that a TiVo has (remote and all). I don't plan on having a monitor hooked up, but its certainly a possibility. My question is should I find a video card that has that stuff integrated? or am I better off with a standalone card (and if so -- which?)

I have a PCI-ex slot, along with 3 PCI slots. It does have onboard video (only 4mb), but no audio. So 2 of my PCI slots are already used (Audio card -- AV710, and IDE expansion card).

suggestions for a TiVo like tv tuner card? and/or a video card?

I have a PVR-250 tuner card and use software from SnapStream.com and have been very happy.

I think they have a lot of hardware/software that would do just what you want.
