Multiple ?'s here

1. I have a comcast DVR box is there a way that I can get my recorded shows off the hdd and move to pc where I can burn them to a disc to watch later? If so please tell me how I can do that and what I'd need.

2. Is there a pvr that I can use with my comcast HD box so that I can record it onto the computer? This is instead of just plugging the cable from the wall to the pvr so I can get my higher numbered channels on there.

3. If there is no pvr box for ? number 2 then is there a pvr that I can use that has XP x64 drivers. I have looked and I wasn't able to find any can someone help with this please.

Why the use of the term PVR? Are you referring to set top PVRs or PC based PVRs?

If you're referring to PC based PVRs, I would think that there are video capture cards out there that support WinXP x64, especially considering that Vista is out now.

Well its easy to connect through svideo then basically you can record at 1-1 (ie for every hour on the pvr it will take 1 hour to transfer to the pc), if you have hd and recorded hd you can connect through firewire (look on google for Tim more firewire stb), but that only works for non encrypted channels and is still at 1-1. Any regular tuner card will have an svideo input (and some graphics cards do) so that would be easiest but firewire will look better (and if you just want to transfer from firewire and not record new stuff through it then capdvhs shoudl work for you). Again higher numbered channels will work through svideo (ie wall >> pvr or set top box >> svideo in to tuner in the pc) using either Windows Media center (2005 or Vista home premium or Ulitmate), Sage tv, snapstream ...
