I'm preparing to upgrade from Vista (home premium) to Win7 Home Premium. Currently I use Dvrms toolbox to do commercial editing etc. of my dvr-ms files. Should I uninstall prior to the upgrade, then re-install dvr-ms toolbox, or will the upgrade run fine regardless? Thanks.

I did a clean install and installed it. There is a different plugin for it than Vista.

Also, Win7 records in .wtv format, I think this means you need ShowAnalyzer instead of Comskip (won't work on .wtv format) for a direct approach, or you need to transcode it to dvr-ms and let it get comskipped that way.

Thanks for the help! I'll just uninstall and reinstall after the upgrade. Guess I'll need to do some reconfiguring anyway to get the wtv files converted into mpeg when desired.
