How is the capture quality of this card for analog capturing? Can I hook a standard analog coax signal directly into it? Has anyone used it with the capture feature in Adobe Premiere and been successful? Also has anyone used it to capture directly in Matlab (longshot)?

Yes, you can hook a standard analog coax cable directly into the card. I don't own one myself but my brother does, and analog TV seems to be pretty decent in quality (as much as can be expected from such a low-resolution source anyway). Sorry I can't be of more help as far as the actual recording though.
