I just bought a 19" flat panel monitor. I have it hooked up to my analog video card. The images on the LCD screen are much better than my old CRT, in fact I don't see how they could get any better. Does DVI really make that much improvement over analog? I don't want to go out and buy a DVI video card if it looks the same as my analog card.

Depends on how sensitive you are and how good your monitor is. If there's a really good analog to digital conversion going on in your LCD, the image can be close to perfect. Honestly, DVI is definately preferred as it's much harder for to screw up. But if you're happy with the analog, keep it. On the other hand, if you start to notice it getting fuzzy at times, and hitting the auto adjust fixes it, you might be better off upgrading. That's the thing that drives me crazy with the analog connection on my work LCD -- hitting the auto adjust button a couple times a day.
