dvi out on 8800 gts; hdmi in on mitsu hd; pc sez 1080p; tv sez 1080p; what u can see of the desktop looks incredible; what u can't see is about an inch or so of the edge of the desktop...

using the "fit desktop" slider on the nvidia cp doesn't affect the desktop at all...

don't see anything in the tv docs to adjust the screen (like monitor controls)...

any ideas???

hooked up component out from a x1800 and went 1080i and all was swell...

i had a similar situation when i was trying out tv's... the mits (the one i was looking at was the 57 1080p) did the exact same thing...i ended up going with a westy 47 and it looks great.

i believe the issue is with over/underscan, but i couldnt figure out how to set the mits to display it natively.

Yeah, overscan is your problem.

The TV may have a one-to-one pixel mapping mode (sometimes called PC Mode). See if you can use that.

urp... that speed reading will get u every time... have to tell the tv that it's a 'pc' not a 'game' connection to get the options for the screen... but did need the overscan patch to fix the oversize desktop...
