I'm thinking about picking up a XFX nVidia 6800 vanilla card to replace my 9800 Pro. The XFX card only has the 2 DVI outputs and I'll be using my CRT with the standard 15 pin connector. Is there any difference I will see by using the adaptor for DVI to Analog than if the card came with a 15 pin output like my 9800 Pro does?

Specifically, would there be a difference in regards to gaming?

Also, I understand this card needs to be powered like my 9800 Pro. Does it use the same 4 pin connector from the PS (the same as what you'd use to power the HDD or CD drive)? I couldn't get any information about what's needed to power it and whether or not I would need an adaptor for that too, or a different PS.

No difference...the DVI outputs of the card are actually DVI-I, meaning they have all the pins for analog and digital connection. The converter plug just changes the plug format and routes the analog lines of the DVI-I plug to the relevant 15 SUB-D pins...
