I read through most of the posts that had anything to do with DVI ports and analog connections. I think it got me more confused.

I just bought a LG Flatron 1732 and it has both a DVI and analog connections and my video card (MSI Ti 4800) doesn't have a DVI port. I looked around and they sold cables that would connect from my monitors DVI port to my video cards analog port. Do you guys think that it would make a difference or should I just stick to my analog connection. Don't really feel like buying a new video card. any suggestions would help.

Just stick to the analog connection: that cable you're talking about will not give you a digital connection and would make absolutely no difference. It just uses analog connection since the DVI connector can carry both digital and analog signal: that's why video cards with two DVI ports come with DVI-to-VGA adapter.
