Any LCD over 17" will have noticable difference, especially at 12x10 and above..

I'm not quite clear what you mean. Are you asking if there's an advantage to using a DVI output (video card) to a DVI input (LCD) over using an analog output to an analog input? If so, then probably yes, because you skip an extra translation from digital to analog (which, in this example, occurs on the video card). Apparently newer (analog) LCDs cope better with analog signals, so the difference may not be huge with a video card that has a high-quality analog signal.
