I'm looking to get a DVI out graphics card for my digital flat panel. But I'm confused on one thing, DVI-I vs. DVI-D. I know the DVI-I can send both digital and analog, getting rid of the regualar 15 pin vga adapter. DVI-D on the other hand is only the digital signal. My monitor has a DVI-D connector but the cable they supplied me with is a DVI-I. Now I'm thinking that a DVI-I cable can hook up to a DVI-D connection, right? As long as the monitor's DVI-D has the 4 extra inserts(with nothing in them)...otherwise I could just clip them off in the DVI-I cable????
